The purpose of the website is to provide information about Billericay Lawn Tennis Club, its history and its current facilities. We hope it will be interesting and that you will find all the information you need.

Lost Property

 

Lost property is normally stored at the club for a period of 1 month after which any item not claimed is disposed of by the club. If you have lost an item please contact the club.

 

Billericay Tennis Club and Financial Planning Advisors agree Sponsorship Arrangement

 

Billericay Lawn Tennis Club is delighted to announce that The Sound Financial Group has agreed a three-year sponsorship deal with them. Club Chairman Les Cambridge is seen receiving the sponsorship cheque from Sound Financial Group directors, Paul Spires and Andrew Hall. Tennis club Treasurer Richard Lehman commented that the funds will be used to help the club support the development and ongoing coaching activities with local Schools.

 

The Sound Financial Group is a local firm of independent fee-based Financial Planners and Advisers who have been advising local people on their financial affairs for the past ten years. Paul Spires said this is a first venture into local sponsorship for this company and one that we hope will benefit the club and its members over the coming years.  The 64th Essex Open was held at Billericay Lawn Tennis Club 25 July - 31 July.
This was the 64th occasion of the prestigious Essex Open Tournament and the seventh time that it has been hosted by Billericay Lawn Tennis Club. This Grade 3 LTA sanctioned event, which is open to all junior players and additionally has an Open section to cater for the Over 18’s, attracts players from Essex, Kent, Hertfordshire, Middlesex, Suffolk, Surrey and a number of other county’s. Online court booking system is now available
The tennis club introduced an online court booking system on 1st December 2009 to replace the paper booking sheets. The system  allows full adult members to book courts from the comfort of their home on their PC. The system is web based and can be accessed from any computer so for those members who do not have a PC at home they can use a PC at work or at a library. The tennis club provides access to the online court booking system from a PC located in the main lobby of the clubhouse.

Leaf Sweepers

The club has purchased two new leaf sweepers for members to use on courts 1, 2 & 3 and 7 & 8. They are easy to use and will take only a couple minutes to clear leaves, acorns, twigs etc in wet or dry conditions. The leaf sweepers can be used on tarmac courts as well.
