What is RSS?

RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. RSS takes the hassle out of staying up-to-date by showing you the latest information from a website such as BBC Sport. Read a description of RSS.

Hyperlinks

Hyperlinking an object such as a box, some text, or a picture means that you  can click on the object to trigger an event. The event is most commonly a jump to one of the following:

- a Web page (either on this site or somewhere else on the Web)

- a window to send an email

- a graphic, text, audio, or video file

- a full-size image view of any image

Well-designed hyperlinks are an important aspect of site structure. They help visitors navigate through the site

On this site a hyperlink is denoted by being underlined and coloured blue. For example, all the text in the “Quick links” box on the left are hyperlinks and they will take you to another page in the website. When you place the cursor over them notice how it changes to a hand. This also denotes a hyperlink.
